Report Suggests That Android 5.0 Lollipop Had Fewer App Crashes Than IOS 8

Android and iOS fans always have strong opinions against either platform. While iOS has long been rated as a user friendly OS, a new report suggests otherwise. According to data accessed by Crittercism, which specializes in mobile app data, iOS 8 saw more app crashes compared to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Both are the latest versions of their respective platforms, so this is a fair comparison. It is said that the app crash rate on Android was 2.0%, while iOS 8 had a crash rate of 2.2%. It's not a massive gap, but a significant one nonetheless.
Interestingly, iOS 7 had a crash rate of just 1.9%, so things have actually gotten worse with Apple's latest mobile OS. As for Android, it seems like the platform has improved with Lollipop. Android 4.4 KitKat and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich reportedly had the same app crash rate at 2.6% (no figures available on Android 4.1 or 4.2 Jelly Bean yet).
We must point out that a 2.0 or 2.2% app crash rate is barely noticeable in everyday use, so this report doesn't necessarily reflect badly on one platform. But it's good to see that Android has grown from its image of being a bug prone operating system to something more stable and user friendly.
It is also important to note that iOS 8 is running on more devices compared to Android 5.0 Lollipop, so the data might be slightly in favor of Android here due to lack of enough devices. Regardless, this can be considered a win for Android. You can find more data from Crittercism's page below. Do you agree with these findings?
